about f.u.n.k.

montreal based producer f.u.n.k. has been honing his beat-smithing skills for over 10 years taking influence from hip-hop, and funk, moving into electro, house, boogie and disco. years of beat making experience coupled with formal electroacoustic training have resulted in a refined evolving dancefloor bangers.

at the same time f.u.n.k. is making moves in the local nightlife scene, rocking loft parties and clubs with an eclectic mix of hip-hop, funk, disco, electro, broadway show tunes, j-pop and chinese folk chants, shredding inhibitions on the dance-floor.

for the past year f.u.n.k. along with bain magique, has been laying down the cut at vinyl lounge saturdays. love disco style saturdays has been home to some of mtl's best dancers and funk aficionados, and hosted countless sweaty dance floors.

also as a member of the moustache men dj's f.u.n.k, with new money and classi assi recently finished a canadian tour - mtl to victoria. the three were transported upon by mythical eagle from venue to venue, much to the delight of spectators and air traffic controllers.

for the past two years f.u.n.k. has been bringing his diverse selections to the airwaves with fellow dj classi assi on cjlo1690am, montreal. the show, go funk yourself, has featured a-list canadian talent including d.r. one, hovatron, lunice, redd dredd, maysr, u-tern, and other of montreal's finest.
