birthday party / hiv fundraising campaign

montreal, july 29, 2009: in honor of her 40th birthday, multidisciplinary artist kat coric announces an hiv fundraising campaign and blow out birthday bash to be held at club parking on august 22, 2009 featuring dj&rsquos stéfane lippé and patrick guay.

the campaign and party are billed as an inclusive community manifestation and montrealers are invited to participate and vote for the hiv charity that they feel needs the most financial assistance. "..parking nightclub is pleased to host kat coric's birthday party and to encourage community activism by donating proceeds of the event to a needy hiv charitable organization.." stated club owner greg thibault. proceeds from the birthday party as well as 100 of the donations received will benefit the charity that receives the most votes. eligible organizations must be registered quebec hiv charities.

&ldquo&helliphaving lost friends to hiv, i have naturally adopted the cause as my own. that is why i am appealing to everyone to open his or her hearts and be generous and more importantly sensitive to the plight of those affected by this disease. get involved vote, and donate what you can. come out and party with us at parking on august 22 because it will be a night to remember&hellip&rdquo stated coric.

for over 15 years coric has been producing original events that fuse art with hiv prevention. 2009 has been an explosion of good news for coric.
&bull in february she participated as a founding member of the per7eption exhibition, which was voted one of the top ten art exhibits in the 2009 montreal mirror reader&rsquos poll. plans are currently in the works for a us tour.
&bull in may, coric joined forces with mado and designed an exquisite chair for a charity auction during the montreal international interior design show that was held at place bonaventure. proceeds from the sale of the chair were donated to the organization gris montreal.
&bull in june, coric was appointed to the board of the organization amca quebec (association of alumni and friends of croatian universities) &ldquo..the election of kat coric to the executive of amca qc is great news: her enthusiasm, creativity and dedication will rejuvenate the association&hellip&rdquo stated founding president dr. ante l. padjen.

party d&rsquoanniversaire et une collecte de fonds

montréal, le 29 juillet 2009. pour souligner son 40ème anniversaire de naissance, l&rsquoartiste multidisciplinaire kat coric annonce la tenue d&rsquoune collecte de fonds pour venir en aide aux personnes atteinte du vih. cette collecte de fonds aura lieu lors d&rsquoun mega party d&rsquoanniversaire au club le parking le 22 août avec les dj stéfane lippé et patrick guay.

la collecte de fonds et le party s&rsquoannoncent comme une manifestation communautaire inclusive. les montréalais sont invités à participer en votant pour l&rsquoorganisme qui d&rsquoaprès eux a le plus grand besoin d&rsquoaide financière. «&helliple club le parking est heureux d&rsquoaccueillir le party d&rsquoanniversaire de kat coric et encourage l&rsquoactivisme communautaire en faisant don des profits de l&rsquoévénement à un organisme charitable dans le besoin&hellip» a déclaré greg thibault, propriétaire du club. les profits du party ainsi que tous les dons seront remis à l&rsquoorganisme ayant reçu le plus de votes. seuls les organismes de charité dûment enregistrés au québec sont éligibles.

&bull en février, elle a participé en tant que membre fondateur à l&rsquoexposition per7eption, laquelle a été nommée l&rsquoune des dix meilleures expositions lors d&rsquoun sondage organisé par le journal the mirror. une tournée américaine de l&rsquoexposition s&rsquoorganise.
&bull en mai, coric s&rsquoest jointe à mado lamotte pour créer une magnifique chaise destinée à un encan de charité lors du salon international du design intérieur de montréal tenu à la place bonaventure. les profits de la vente de la chaise ont été remis à l&rsquoorganisme gris montréal.
&bull en juin, coric a été nommée au conseil d&rsquoadministration de l&rsquoorganisme amca québec (association d&rsquoanciens étudiants et d&rsquoamis des universités croates). «l&rsquoélection de kat coric à l&rsquoexécutif de amca québec est une très bonne nouvelle : son enthousiasme, sa créativité et son dévouement vont rajeunir l&rsquoassociation&hellip» a déclaré le président fondateur, le dr ante l. padjen.
