The evening of thursday the 20th of august will stage a special fashion event entitled fantasme. bringing together montreal's darling foundry and artists andrew ly and melissa matos, the event will be highlighted by a fashion show as well as a screening of short films and after party.

creating both a unique and organic experience, visions and sounds will work with the space with the support of several international interdisciplinary contributors. projected on the darling foundry's outer walls will be video work by artist kevin calero and dan popa in collaboration with ly and matos. the fashion show will be accompanied by an event-tailored musical score by berlin-based sound artist dan baudin. open seating arrangements will cell an atypical runways circuit, on which models will exhibit high-end avant-garde works from ly and matos' brilliant repertoire.

showcased will be an independent collection by andrew ly in conjunction with melissa matos' third season for the collective accessories label, powerhaus. when approaching styling and design, both ly and matos' work has demonstrated a consistently innovative sensibility to materials and concepts. emanating themes of cyclicity, balance and the ephemera, fantasme's specials outdoor setting intends to create an immersive experience for all guests.

Jeudi le 20 aout 2009 un evenement INTITULE fantasme, combinant les arts et la mode, aura lieu à la Fonderie Darling mettant en valeur les créations récentes d'Andrew Ly et Melissa Matos.

Cet essai prendra forme par l'Entremise d'un défilé de mode, projections vidéos et
de diverses installations. En Symbiose avec l'espace, Les Têtes chercheuses du projet s'efforceront d'amalgamer le visuel, les sons et les ideaux Afin d'y aménager une expérience des plus pures.

Projeté sur les murs de la Fonderie Darling, les vidéos de l'artiste Kevin Calero seront accompagnés par la musique, adaptée sur mesure, de Dan Baudin, concepteur sonore vivant à Berlin. les sièges assigne au public permetteront aux mannequins de suivre une trajectoire atypique tout en arborant les oeuvres d'avant-guardistes de Melissa Matos et Andrew Ly.

En conjonction avec la collecte indépendante de Ly, Matos presentera la 3ieme saison d'accessoires du collectif Powerhaus. Lorsqu'il est question de stylisme et de design, le répertoire de ces artistes une démontré une innovation constante en terme de sensibilité materielle et de concept. Cette production exterieure, visant à créer un environnement pour tout submerger les invite, explorera, par divers moyens, des visuels dynamiques, des thèmes cycliques, fluides et Ephemeres.
