Celelebrating Montreal’s Top DJs
The 2009 Stylus Nominees’ Party takes place on Sunday May 24th 2009 at Tokyo Bar in Montreal
Come and join us as we celebrate this city’s top DJs, at the official Stylus Montreal Nominees’ Party, taking place on Sunday May 24th at the Tokyo Bar in Montreal. Part of the 2009 Stylus DJ Awards.
Every year the Stylus Awards recognizes Canada’s top DJs, MCs and Recording Artists in over 20 categories. Montreal is representing big again. GoonTribe, Keith Dean, Kwite Sane, Payce, Quest, and Team Canada are all nominated for the 2009 Stylus Montreal DJ of the Year. In addition, Kwite Sane and Payce are also nominated for the Canadian Club DJ of the Year.
Montreal talent is deep in this year’s Stylus nominees’ pool. Little Thunder is nominated for Canadian Reggae DJ of the Year. They won this award last year. Both DJ Yao and DJ Jemz are up to be the Next DJ to Blow. The Almighty Chops is nominated for Canadian MC of the Year. DJ Dax is up for two awards; best Mixtape for H-O Radio #21 and best MySpace page. Professor Groove and DJ Static are nominated for best College Radio Show for We Funk on CKUT. They won this award in 2007.
Music will be provided by Tokyo Sunday Resident DJs and Stylus nominees; The Goontribe Squad with special appearances from some of the other nominees. Hosted by Stylus nominee The Almighty Chops and Jesse Walker.net
The 2009 Stylus Montreal Nominees’ Party takes place on Sunday, May 24th, 2009 at Tokyo Bar, located at 3709 St. Laurent, corner Pine in the heart of Downtown Montreal, Metro Saint-Laurent. Doors open at 11pm and admission starts at $5 for Ladies and $8 for Men. This event will sell out, so please arrive early.

The 2009 Stylus DJ Awards presented by Marc Ecko Watches takes place on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, 190 Princes’ Blvd, CNE Grounds, Toronto.
