Having played more than 2,800 events in a career which has spanned close to 25 years, DJ/producer Max Julien has amassed an incredible musical portfolio that allows him to immediately adapt to any musical style, giving his dancefloor faithful a unique experience each and every time. A true turntable pioneer in the 1980s and early 1990s, the ageless veteran had spun in some of the top Montréal clubs of the time, including Mars, Alcatraz, Thunderdome, Lime Light, and September’s.
Following a break of over a decade in order to concentrate on his flourishing career in sports management, Max Julien returned to the music scene in 2003, quickly becoming a regular at Stereo/Stereobar less than one year later. He would soon move up to the world-renowned main room, playing with the legendary Victor Calderone, in 2006. The following year, Max made his debut with Bad Boy Club Montréal (BBCM), organizers of the groundbreaking Black & Blue festival, as well as Circus Afterhours. Since his return, he has played with some of the biggest names in house music, including Manny Lehman, DJ Paulo, Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, and Suzanne Palmer, to name a few. Max is also recognized as one of the top progressive trance/trance DJs in Canada, playing under the pseudonym of Zouvi, sharing the decks with such artists as Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, and Rank 1.
