Live shows almost every night @ Ptit Caribou during the Internationnal Blues Festival of Tremblant


Vendredi 4 Juillet : JOHNNY MAX : With his excellent album A Lesson I’ve Learned nominated for a Juno, this singer from Southern Ontario blends Stax-era soul, Chicago blues and other blues derivatives. Appearing for the first time at the festival as a five-piece band.

Samedi 5 Juillet : POWER STROKE blues Band : The new band from the Laurentians with ex-members of the Running Bill Blues Band will present originals as well as covers from a collection of classic blues-rock, funk and reggae songs.

Mercredi 9 Juillet : LAYLA ZOE : Voted Best Singer at the Vancouver Island MUSic Awards in 2007, Layla Zoe has long been considered the reincarnation of Janis Joplin. She was recently a guest singer of the Toronto Blues Society’s Women Blues Revue. This year, she launched her fourth CD, Live at Errington Hall. She is joined by the band from Orangeville, Trouble and Strife.

Jeudi 10 Juillet : CARL TREMBLAY : The instigator of the very popular Harmonica Festival stakes his claim among the night crowds with his unique stage performance. A tireless blues traveler, he has toured around the world and shared the stage with John Mayall, Johnny Winter and B.B. King, playing blues and soul standards.

Vendredi 11 Juillet : RIOT & HIS RHYTHM DEVILS : Blues, soul, rockabilly and rock’n roll all help to describe the many styles of RRD. The man known as Riot, who occasionally plays guitar for Vilain Pingouin, has released a second CD with his band called Tough Times, which includes a vibrant version of Prince’s Purple Rain.

Samedi 12 Juillet : JIMMY JAMES : Montreal’s guitar virtuoso keeps the legend alive with his awe-inspiring technique and uncommon dexterity. Admired by all guitarists and a cohort of fans, James returns to the festival with a collection of continuously mutating pieces drawn from his album Feels Good.
